The strap is woven in a flat, two-tone braid that lies smooth against the chest and neck instead of twisting like a round cord. We use a soft cotton-poly blend that resists fraying from daily clipping and unclipping, and the loop is sized for an easy 18 in drop that sits comfortably above the chest. Because the braid is pulled by hand, the navy and cream lines stay straight and even on both sides, with no drifting pattern along the length.
At the lower end, the braid gathers into a wrapped section that carries a blackened steel swivel hook — chosen for a matte, understated look rather than shiny chrome — and a small hand-turned wooden bead sits just above the wrap as a natural accent. The hook rotates freely so a badge or set of keys hangs flat instead of flipping around, and the gathered end can be undone for attaching a custom keyring or pouch.
